Description
Filled on 13th April 1993, the spirit was initially matured in Bourbon, re-fill and re-char casks, the whisky was then filled in to French Sauternes wine casks on 31st July 2019 to finish for just under two years.
A luscious, supple dram with a smooth and graceful mouthfeel that swirls around the palate. There’s hoards of tropical syrupy tinned pineapple, heightened with ripe peaches, apricots and velvety soft, creamy vanilla. Craigellachie’s robustness has been perfectly tempered by the intense sweetness of the Sauternes.
