Rum is distilled from fermented molasses or sugar cane, and is usually produced wherever sugar is grown. Barrels add influence to the spirit – just like whisky or brandy – making them the perfect sipping drink.
This tasting offers unique insights into the history of rum which dates back to the early 17th century when it was first produced in the West Indies. The tasting comprises 5 boutique rums from around the world and speaks about its tumultuous history, as well as the different styles and characters of rums produced in different regions. We pair our final rum with an authentic Italian Panforte.
